Kubota B7800
Hey just wanted to say hi from Nova Scotia Canada. I'm a relatively new tractor owner, had purchased a New Holland TZ18DA in May (used) and just sold it a month ago when I landed a really good deal on a Kubota B7800 with a E60 Normand blower on the rear, a 60" mowing deck (brand new), and a 60" front blade with hydraulic lift and angle. One happy owner, just waiting for snow now lol. None yet as of Dec 1st in Cape Breton Nova Scotia but won't be long.

Cheers, looks like an awesome forum you have here.

To the TBN forum Keith. You sure came to the right place for answers to any questions you might ever have. Congrats on the new tractor. You didn't mention how much land or how long your driveway is?

Thanks mddorange, only have about 1/2 acre and driveway is about 100 feet long with 60 feet by 30 feet flat at the top. Pretty good grade on the 100 foot part (about 30 deg) and when we get a noreaster the snow blows across my lawn and dumps into the driveway which is about 4 to 5 feet lower than the lawn so perfect scenario for lots of snow in the driveway.

I completely understand about the snow buildup as I had a place in Alaska where the garage was cut into a sloping hill so I had to keep the snow blower in the garage to be able to dig out each morning after an all night snow storm.

Welcome, Keith, from Toronto! I know Cape Breton, and in fact I had a job interview way back in the 1980s in Sydney at UC Cape Breton. (Didn't get the job.)

Given how much snow you guys get out there, you are going to LOVE your snowblower. (Atlantic Canada always seems to be on the news whenever there is any significant weather, because you guys always seem to get the worst of it.)

With those kind of slopes, you had better get chains for your new tractor. I did, and they were amazing with respect to traction. But make sure you get good ones, not those stupid lddter chains where the chain falls in between the treads on the tractor tires and really don't do much.

Good luck to you, and again, welcome to TBN!👍
