MF 165
Hello All, bought a MF 165 or sub model (with a heavy duty front axle, MF 180 split torque clutch linkage, plus front mounted hydraulic pump etc) a while back. Lifts a couple of medium squares bales of hay to stack 3 high onto a flat deck quite happily, but only on hard standing. Will add a bale frame on the 3 point linkage for next season to spike on a counterweight bale for lighter steering. Replaced the power steering 1 7/8" pivot pin and bushes recently, steering became 10x more certain! Will steadily redo the electrics to return back to a roadworthy condition & find a matching pair of front tyres, the previous owner did an A1 paint job. Had to jump start in a stiff frost for the first time last week, perhaps not running the glow plug long enough at approx 10 seconds. Cheers.

Hello redman135, corrected, tractor in NZ, I mainly work in Oz.
Here's a shot of the tractor from the FEL end & the power steering below the hydraulic tank. After the steering pivot pin & bushes replacement, now have banjo connectors leak which won't go away so easily. Original washers were flat dead soft aluminium, Sparex replacements were copper crush washers on the hex side and flat aluminium on the thread side - no good. Then fitted Dowty washers, problem is that the banjo faces are tapered in, not flat as in surface sealed fittings. So I'll try annealing some more al. washers. A tip for those doing the same repair, bought a 1 7/8 solid reamer from US ebay which turned up later. Actually used an adjustable reamer in .005 then .002 steps. The chances of winding the size reamer through first up are about zero! Will find some side/indicator/brake lights for the wheel guard punch-outs and bracket fit some side mounted headlights for the top of the guards. Plus horn / orange beacon / tow hitch connector. Thats about it, cheers.
