I know most people think that NJ is paved from one end to the other and if it keeps going the way it is going it will be. I'm not actually from this area, I grew up in upstate NY but I was born in Jersey so I guess technically that makes me Jersey.

I own an MF/MH Work-bull that is currently in pieces. I have the engine kit but I don't have a clutch yet, then it will start to go back together. It is missing allot of body parts (sheet metal stuff) because of rust and hopefully I can find all that some day to make it like the day it was born.

I just bought a Hydra-Mac model 8A skid-steer and this actually runs. It's in pretty good shape but needs a tune up and a new belt plus has a number of very slow hydraulic leaks. I will be looking for user and shop manuals for this piece of equipment. I have only had it a couple of weeks and I don't even know where to get engine parts yet.

I'm not a farmer or a contractor I just hate doing things with a pick and shovel. My neighbors probably all wonder what planet I came from because I am a real do it yourself-er even when it comes to cutting down 100ft trees in my front yard and the power to the rest of the block was only knocked out for a couple hours anyway. When the utility guy drove by my yard and saw 4 downed trees he knew where the problem originated. I just got a little too impatient with one branch that extended beyond the lines, oops.

So any way this tells you a little bit about who I am and what I am about when it comes to equipment. I will really need allot of information on the stuff that I have already and who knows what I'll buy next so get ready for any thing.

By the way I'm really not a careless person but knocking out the power was incredibly stupid and I am lucky I did not get killed but the worst part is that I knew better and now I always have to live with that.

Welcome to the neighborhood, David.

I'm sure every member of this forum has made a bonehead mistake so don't be so hard on yourself. If they won't admit it, ask their wives! (Sorry, ladies I know there are a few of you on the site. I'm not ignoring you. It's just that men are more prone to bonehead mistakes.)

You are absolutely right. I think because I was honest and upfront with the guy and I just stretched the lines a little, he let it slide. No lines or poles were broken I just blew one of the main fuses. The irony is that I did not know I did it because I had the company drop the line to my house that morning knowing it would be in the way, so my power was out all day anyway.
