Hello folks:
Been lurking here since March of 17.
The many contributors here helped me with the choice of tractor for moving onto our homestead.
Yah'll didn't know that did yah'll?
The eight acres does not readily seem one would need such a large tractor; but heh I'm soon about to upgrade, with again help from you all!
After 14 years with Uncle Sam and 30 years in a small utility I retired and we settled on the homestead.
The property had been neglected for a couple of decades.
This meant about 7 acres of 4 to 8 foot huisache so thick one could not see past 20 yards! At first I'm thinking my Lord what did I just get us into!!!
Well we had the place cleared and all hauled off. Whew! Many stumps are 3-5 in diameter at grade level.
I'll get more into this in my next post.
Were in the Shiner area and my Kioti dealer is in Paige. So far they have given me great customer service.
At my age I don't have decades left to learn about farm/ranch work so I figure I'm gonnah learn from the half million years of experience on this board.
Well you folks that's bout it.
Just another old retired fart spending time out doors and indoors learning how to keep equipment running to spend more time out doors!
