I'm new to TBN and to owning a Tractor. I just bought a Snapper 1855A. My wife wanted me to buy some box store Riding mower that all it did is cut grass. Even though I'm having some issues now with the coil, or spark plug wires or something else? The snapper seemed like a better buy...more options for your money. Definitly built better!
Does anyone know if you can test an ignition coil? I've traced the cylinder not fireing fully to either the wire, coil, or what ever times the spark.
When I remove the right spark plug wire the engine dies. When I remove the left spark plug wire the engine runs, barely. When I switch the wires at the coil the opposite happens.
I traced one of the coil termination wires back to a box in the front of the Onan Engine. I'm assuming those are the points...the thing that times the engine. I'm not sure where the the other small wire from the coil where it goes. Any help would be appreciated.
