yanmar 1401
Hello folks. Im Steve from Wagener, S.C... I work at the local Ford dealearship building transmissions for the past 30 years. i am looking for advice on my Yanmar 1401 that i have just been given. Its a 3 cyl thats been sitting in a shed for 2 years or so. It had a mixture of diesel fuel, water & gasoline in the tank when i brought it home. I cleaned out the tank, replaced the hoses, cleaned filter housing, replaced fuel filter then started trying to bleed the injectors. I was not able to get much fuel out of the injector lines.. After going through the bleeding process 5 or 6 times with no success, I pulled the injector pump and found what may be the problem. The #3 bore / roller /sleeve /gear was siezed and did some damage to the rack. The pump housing looks ok but i would like to replace some of the internal parts. I havent had any luck finding these parts and not sure where to go from here. I am not much of a tractor mechanic and not sure if i should invest $600 in a new injector pump for an engine that i have never heard run... Any advice would be greatly appreciated.. Much thanks..
