Hello,

I joined TBN while shopping for purchasing my first tractor this fall. I guess it is my mid-life crisis! Good one to have. We have 6 acres of mountainside property covered by more than 600 trees. I've been maintaining the property the old fashioned wheelbarrow way. That's a nice workout, but have never quite been able to get the place looking like I wanted.

I grew up on a large dairy farm in Nebraska so I started driving tractors at age 8. I logged several hundred hours in the seats of Ford, John Deere, International Harvester and probably some others I can't remember before I left the farm life to pursue my professional calling off the farm. Life has come full circle and I found my self with some property to return to my agricultural roots but really using my tractor more for landscaping than farming. I want to add some terrace garden boxes for next spring, so I guess I'll get a little agriculture!

I purchased a new John Deere 2025R with JD's fantastic 72 month 0% interest program. I got the box blade, rotary cutter, loader and backhoe with thumb. I felt like I was really splurging with that all, but I do wish I had added a chipper as well. I had 70 trees fallen this past spring and have mounds of limbs that are thoroughly dried out and wouldn't take much of a spark to ignite! I could find good use for lots of fresh wood chips too.

Yeah about that....I grew frustrated trying to upload photos from my computer and it doesn't seem to work intuitively for me. I went to the "insert image" then selected the "upload from PC" and selected the image I wanted, but then there was no "Ok" or "upload now" button that I could find. I switched over to the "from URL" tab and tried that "ok" button and nothing seems to happen.

Is there a step-by-step instruction list? Any help? I feel pretty dumb because I'm usually pretty good figuring out IT things.

Welcome to TBN from just a bit south of you. Yes a chipper is real nice. Did you purchase through Sumner. I got a very nice Salsco chipper from them back in 2007, might be a bit larger than yours will handle but a chipper is always a useful tool to have around. Look at Bearcat, Woods, Salsco to name a few.

Welcome to TBN. Always nice to have another Washingtonian. I've always had Wallenstein chippers and have no problems.
I've found that pics upload to this site a lot easier if they are less than one gigabit in size. Since most of my digital pics will run 3 to 4.5 GB I run them thru software to resize.
