Hello everyone , New member here obviously and looking to be a new tractor owner soon. I am currently looking at a 2015 L39 with 600 hours.
I own 5 acres, 3 acres of open field/yard approximately with the rest being a creek line with a line of trees/underbrush along side of it. My father owns 28 acres beside and behind me and my brother owns 7 acres on the other side of him. So a family commune, lol.
I have several projects I am looking to do on my side including digging out a small pond, clearing some of the creek line and incorporating it into my pond with a walkway to house and nice little deck with sitting area around pond. Also have a drainage issue from old coal mine property beside me to address and reroute into pond. I have plenty of landscaping ideas and I will be building a pole barn at some point.
Other than that I have plenty of other ideas to use the tlb for later down the road and I am sure my father and brother have plenty of uses for it as well.
My main question is how to go about incorporating my creek into the pond and how to route the drainage issue into the pond. I have an idea of digging out the pond and then either just finish digging over into the creek line or just rerouting the creek over to the pond , like making a Y off of the creek and then adding a runoff back to creek.
The drainage issue is an old culvert that was at one time smashed in and covered up it looks like but over the years it has slowly eroded away the dirt and now every time it rains good, it floods my yard which is causing small tunneling and my yard is full of holes and small trenches from it. I am planning on putting the pond in that area but will still need to route the drainage towards it somehow.
Attached is pics of old culvert, and where it drains straight across my property past my shed to my tree line with creek inside of it . Any suggestions would be extremely helpful!! And thanks again for having me!!
