Nice to find a forum that welcomes any kind/color/fuel/etc of tractor!! Lots of sites on the Net that won't let you on if you don't have "their" particular flavor of hardware. I've got a mid 70's UTB Universal DT 550 4x4 with some shifting issues. It had been left outside most of its life and I think that has contributed to its not wanting to shift into Low or High in the Aux side of the transmission. All 4 forward & Reverse work OK. Anyone that has any info, please help!! I love the tractor, but if I can't get it fixed, it's goimg to tractor heaven.

I dont know your tractor (you have a Long 560DT that is a UTB from Romaina?) either but what I did have a hi/lo setup on older Kubota controlled by a sliding fork on the gears inside the transmission. If this is similar to yours (internal to the tranny) it should not be too dificult to access? Don't try to force it tho
