My name is Jim, and I'm looking to buy my first small tractor. I'm tired of fooling with these cheaply-made, worn-out-in-two-years mowers they sell at retail establishments. I'm a computer geek by trade, so I'm doing a lot of research online before I jump on anything. I keep up about 3 acres of hilly terrain, and I know what I need - <30hp, 60" or smaller finish mower (MMM or 3 point, doesn't make much difference to me), a 3 point tiller would be nice - and I'll research the heck out of any offer I see on Craigslist, eBay, or any other site.
I bought my VW Golf TDI on eBay after researching for about six weeks prior to buying. I knew what I wanted and how to find the best deal, so I flew to Houston, TX and drove it back to Kentucky. Don't worry, I won't drive ANY tractor that far, but I am not averse to going and getting one within 200 miles of my house.
As I learn more and more, I hope to be an asset here.
