I had to take the deck off my TZ25 so it would fit on my trailer. I sharpened the blades, lubed and cleaned everything. When I mounted it I could not get the level right. Either one of the front rods would be loose or the measurements would be 1/2 off side to side. Are the front mounts supposed to be tight or loose when loaded (mowing height).

The book states to set the height to 4" but the deck in the rear will only go to 3 3/4". If I shorten the front rods to raise the front the front will get to 4 1/4 but the rear will go to @ 3 5/8. I do not see a way to raise the rear any as it swings and pivots on the 2 rear mounts.

Does anyone have any secrets to mounting the CMS60. It is different than what I read for the TC models.

I just did mine, same TZ and deck. First stay away from the front adjusters for now.
1) Set deck @ 4".
2) Use the side adjusters where deck mounts to tractor, use 2x4 or something so you can lift the deck to pull out the pin. On mine the adjusters are screwed almost all the way up.
3) Keep going from side to side checking height of blade, I cut a 4" scrap of wood to make it easier. Your only going to get within about 1/8" from side to side, when you get that close your good.
4) Then turn the blades and check front to back. Now use the front adjusters and lower the front of the blade about 1/8" lower than back.

It takes a little time but its worth it.

Thanks. I got home, took a 4X4 (about 3 3/4) and used it to slide under the deck. I was able to slide it on both sides on the rear with the same resistance. The Front it would not fit. It is rough but I am going to put on Hi lift blades in the next few weeks. The current blade stuck inside the deck a little less than 1/2 in. (a little less than the thickness of a 1X3) I tried mowing and it looks so much better than when I started. Looks closer to when it was new (sharper blades I am sure helped).
