I was just out moving some dirt piles around for a project of mine and everything was going smoothly until I went to get the next load of dirt from the pile and the bucket would not curl the load up. I emptied the bucket, it has no problems dumping, but even with the bucket empty it struggles the whole way up but eventually does curl completely, but barely. You can hear the stress on the hydralic system working really hard to get it to curl at all. So I shut it down. Please help if you have any advice at all. The only thing that has changed recently is about 7 engine hours ago I replaced the trans oil and filter, and engine oil and filter. Tractor now has 108.3 hours on it. Thanks in advance -

Check your fluid level and cycle all your hydraulics all the way both ways a few times

Disconnect and reconnect you quick connects for the loader. They may look OK but do it..Looks can be deceiving

Nope - that didn't work either.....I even tried taking them apart twice after running it in between and going to the max positions on all hydraulics. Guess it's a good thing it is still under warranty but this came at a really bad time. Does John Deere provide a 'loaner' machine while mine is being repaired?? Any other suggestions to try myself before I take it in?? Could there be air in the lines possibly since I replaced the fluid? How do you bleed the lines??

It sounds like you may have blown some seals in your bucket cylinders and the oil is bypassing in the cylinders. You could try swapping the hoses from the lift circuit to the bucket circuit. This would make you loader control to operate backwards but if the bucket works ok then, the problem may be in the control valve. As far as a loaner, it depends on the dealer ad how good of a relationship you have with him. They aren't required to give loaners, but some do it to maintain customer satisfaction. Actually they might be able to install a seal kit in the cylinder at your home. It is not that difficult if that is your problem.

Ok - I just went out and switched the 2 quick-connect lines for the bucket controls. Now it curls the bucket with lots of power like it should. The dumping of the bucket seems slower than it should so that means the problem is on the tractor side of things and not the cylinder seals.....correct??
