Fun 1st post. I have a 2 1/2 year old BX2660 with a 60 inch belly mower that I bought new and it has been fantastic. I was mowing a steep hill in my front yard going forward up - I used to back up it, but this was a new experiment. There's a hedge row at the top that requires backing or driving down. Right at the top, the engine starved for fuel (stupid) and it stalled. Before I could get my wits, it took off backward and coasted to the bottom of the hill. THAT was not fun.
Now level, it restarted, but when I push on forward, you can hear the hydraulic pump straining and it tries to move backward. Same for reverse; tries to move forward but you can tell it's fighting itself. It was in 4 wheel drive at the time but I don't remember if I was going forward or backward. It does move in neutral and the deck does go up and down. Once the monsoons move out, I'll take it to the dealer, but I would greatly appreciate some suggestions. I will rethink how I deal with this hill.
Thank you
