Help changing hydraulic fitting

One of the quick release fittings on the FEL control box needs to be replaced. The FEL is not mounted and I think the way to do this is:
-engine off
-eye protection
-move FEL control lever around, all directions
-wrench off fitting slowly in case there is any pressure

I don't want a hydraulic skin injection! Could someone verify the above will be harmless?

That's it...If the engine is off then there is no risk of fluid injection.

procedure is about right. engine off, crack line slowly with 2 wrenches. one to hold nut and other hold line from turning to prevent damage.
