Help - Engine oil in the transmission!

I'm new to owning a tractor and I've made a real noob mistake! I have a mid-nighties, I believe from the serial number search, Kioti LK3054. I recently added Engine oil to what I now understand to be the transmission fluid cap. The cap is between your feet. The sight glass ended up blowing out completely but a friend in the know managed to reseat it after losing a good amount of fluid.

My question is should I be ok just using a transmission fluid flush agent, run for a 15mins through the gears in idle, then drain the transmission fluid from the pan and refill? I did read on another post that the transmission needs 27.5 quarts of fluid to refill. As I don't have the manual any suggestions on brands or specs to use on the refill?

How much oil did you add? Engine oil diluted in 27.5 quarts of trans. fluid may not have any negative effect if a small amount.

Thanks for the response Dave. When I saw what I thought was the oil level in the sight glass I put 3liters in, but then it blew the sight glass out when my buddy was clearing the snow. Since then I put 2 back in without realising that I was doing it wrong. So since then its not really been run at all but I'm guessing it lost a good amount of tranny fluid. I managed to get hold of a reasonable local dealer who recommended just draining and refilling with fluid and not bother flushing it. I'm more inclined to flush it anyway and replace the filter to be to be sure.
