I got my 3010 earlier this year. I normally prefer shifter, but was advised to try the HST. I ended up getting the HST and was just thinking to myself this weekend what a good choice it was. When I'm tilling or brush hogging, my hands are busy enough lifting the 3pt. and steering, I would need a third appendage to shift to stay as productive. But, all I can say is try them both, buy the one you like, and your bound to be happy with your choice.
