Help!!!! Japanese Stiltgrass Nepalese Browntop

Does anyone have any experience with this invasive grass? There is plenty of information on the Internet but I have so much of it that there doesn't seem to be a reasonable way to get rid of it.

I bought wooded property about a year ago that had been lightly timbered in 2006. This stuff has taken over the woods as a result of the logging, acres and acres of it. It gets thick and tall during the summer and kills off native species. When it dies off in the fall it leaves behind a horrible thick brown matt that covers everything on the ground.

According to what I have read this grass has serious consequences. If you see any of this grass on your property make sure you get rid of it before it spreads and becomes uncontrollable.

I would like to hear from anyone if they have had success in removing large areas of this grass.

Thanks for the heads up. You have some beautiful property. It's a shame that it is being affected by an invasive species.

From what little I've read, chemical control seems like the only feasible solution for large areas. Is that your plan?

Edit -- I can't tell from the photo -- what is the low bush/brush in the middle of the first photo and to the right in the second photo? It looks like privet -- another invasive species. I'm doing battle with it on my farm.

They could be Multiflora Rose and I have a ton of it scattered around also. It's really something what a little sunlight can do to a forest. On the adjoining property which hasn't been logged there is nothing growing on the forest floor. Walk a few feet over and mine is like a jungle.
