You could replace the hex screws in those farmtek clamps with knobs, so you could tighten/loosen by hand rather than by wrench. Depends on if those would get in the way for your mystery project that we all want pictures of . . .

Well, if I ever get it together and the "project" actually works as I hope, then yeah, I'll come back with pictures. It will be a while yet though. Deer season is almost over here so I will stop deer hunting after Jan 1st and have time to work on the project. No, this is not tractor related but it involves another hobby of mine, when I'm not riding the Deere or hunting the deer.

For others who are wondering, there won't be any "fluids" inside of the tubing.

I'm now thinking that something like the farmtek clamps might be the best way to go, but even those will need to be modified some. I'll need to drill a hole in each end of the clamp and run 1/4-20 bolts through them to mechanically link each section together so they won't rotate within the clamps. I think I've ruled out the telescoping poles as it looks like the sections on those can rotate within each other, if enough torque is applied. Thanks again!

Depending on the length and strength needed, a telescoping TV antenna mast may work. They have provisions for "locking" so they do not rotate.
