Sounds like dadohead knows what he's speaking of.
I agree - the Simplicity with power lift and power steering would definitely be the better choice if used with a snowblower. I have a John Deere GX345 with hydraulic lift and power steering and use it exclusively for snowblowing. My neighbors with newer John Deeres' with manual lift and steering and snowblowers - cannot believe how much easier my machine is to operate.Hi... I retired from John Deere Horicon Works in '16.
Oh yeah, SB's really add to the steering effort... using power steering/lift with a SB or blade is HUGE. I know which one I'd pick ;<)

Very interesting, what kinda work did you do for them? Design/engineering/testing?
I'd say go for the Simplicity, just check about compatability of blowers if you can first, nice part is Simplicity was pretty good about interchanges for a lot of models over the years.
I've always been a Simplicity fan, have a Sunstar, the Deutz Ultima (Deutz branded version of the Sunstar) a couple vintage Landlords with a bunch of attachments and a little baby Serf model (rear tires are same size as the fronts on the Landlord!)]

Lol... ANYTHING with a K71 is NOT a lawn tractor. Very capable ground engagers: garden tractor.First off those are lawn tractors. Find an old wheel horse or gravely if you want to move snow. All the parts are available and they tractors will move anything you put in front of them
