As some of you may have read in another thread, I have found the standard 'carryall' type product to be inadequate for my needs.

So, I would like to acquire a King Kutter Pallet Mover.

PM.jpg

The Pallet Mover (model PM-15) is rated to carry 2,000 lbs as opposed to 1,000 lbs for the standard carryall.

Here's the trouble... TSC (Tractor Supply Co) is the only place in my area that deals with King Kutter. TSC wants $200 for the implement. I can deal with that. But, they cannot get it until spring when they get their next shipment of King Kutter products. They have offered to have it shipped to their store in a separate shipment at my cost. They want $170 for shipping costs from a Southern state to Michigan. That's sounds pretty high right? I thought so too. So, I contacted KK directly. They told me that the shipping cost is only $70 NOT $170 !

Well, lets get to the question. KK will not sell this product directly to me. I already tried that. Does anyone know of a way to purchase KK products and get TSC out of the loop ?

Note:
I do not have the time or energy right now to build my own. Nor do I want to spend $900 on some of the heavier 3pt forklift attachments that are available.

Contact a tractor dealer. I know my dealer (Cross & Sons in Jackson, OH) deals/sells KK stuuff. I ran into the same problem on Monday. I was looking at the RB-OT-60 scraper blade. $270 for the blade and they said "wouldn't guess over $75" for shipping. That puts me right at the cost of the Midwest blade which is the one I want, but was trying to save a few $.

Jim, I tried every tractor dealer in a 50 mile radius. No luck. I used the dealer finder on the KK website, they only list two places within a 500 mile radius that carries their products. One was TSC, the other was a tractor dealer about a 100 miles from me. I contacted that dealer, he does'nt stock the item and has never sold one. He was'nt interested in helping me out.

To be more clear, what I really want is a dealer who has one and is willing to ship it directly to me.

Why don't you take the picture to your local welding shop and see what they can do for you ...

jerry,

Time to think outside the box. I too wanted a king kutter pallet mover. I called 3 TSCs that were on my way (went to upstate NY last weekend). None had it & weren't interested in getting it. There are alternatives to the King Kutter.

Worksaver is one. My local dealer carries them. The 2,000# cap one is $250 +/-. I ended up ordering the carry all, hoping that the 1,000# cap has some safety factor & I won't be able to break it with my TC18 (1,200# lift). The carrry all was $100.

My dealer also carried a couple other brands - $200-$400 depending on capacity I think it was called BCS (threw out my notes) they came from PA.

I'd call your local dealers & express your needs - maybe they have another brand.

Nope /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif , they don't have anything even similiar to what I need.

Steve, I should have mentioned that I did contact every dealer within a reasonable driving distance and inquired about a heavy duty type carryall or pallet mover. Several of them said they could maybe order something but did not stock anything. None of the dealers could provide specifications (capacity) or even pictures. The closest thing I could find was a quick-attach skid steer fork lift attachment. I have really tried every angle with the dealers within 50 miles of me. I can't believe that I'm the only person in my area that has ever desired a heavier duty carryall or pallet mover.

Jerry,
Have you ask TSC or the dealers about a platform type bale carrier? The KK one, is rated at 2000 lbs. and is priced at $249 at TSC. The tines might be to far a part for what you want, I don't know.

Jerry, yep, they stock that item but the arms are much too far apart. I have thought about it though.

Why don't you give Sweet Tractors a call. They carry a lot of different manufacturers and their shipping costs are very reasonable. I had a tiller shipped to Wisconsin on a lift-gate truck for like $80.00. Sweet Tractors
