As posted earlier, I’m seriously thinking about upgrading to a 1430. I am arranging a visit to PT in the next couple of weeks (btw, they are closed the week of the 4th again this year) to test-drive the 1430. Therefore, I will probably want to sell my 425 and most attachments. However, I have no idea what a fair price would be for this machine. So...please help me price it.
The tractor has less than 125 hours and I've had it since May of last year. I have used it primarily for mowing and landscaping (90%). All use has been on my own property and its always been garaged. All hydraulic and oil filters are changed at 40 hour intervals. I use synthetic grease and oil.
I have made the following modifications/improvements:
- Upgraded seat with arm rests (not the one PT sells but a better seat from TSC)
- Extra PT lights on the canopy
- Air Filter precleaner (engineaire)
- and an LCD RPM/Hour gauge.
I have the following attachments:
- 48” Tiller (used twice)
- Post hole digger with 18" auger (never used)
- Small Trailer
- Boom Pole
- Potato Digger (plow)
- Forks
- Small Bucket with teeth
- Large Bucket
- 60" mower.
Some of the attachments, like the Tiller and PHD, I could keep and modify for use on the larger tractor. Maybe the best approach would be a certain percentage discount (from new) for the tractor and a different discount (could be the same percentage or not) for the attachments. What do you guys think? What’s a fair discount?
