Hard to say anything about erosion yet, since we haven't had doodly-squat for rain! Having said that, we're due for 20% tonight, 40% tomorrow and 20% tomorrow night. So that's the good news.

The brown spots are where the really high "poke salad annie" plants were located, about 10-12' high; there simply was no real ground cover where they existed. There are big bald spots on the more level ground where they existed as well, no BH scalping needed (see the first "after" pic, extreme left between the triple tree and power pole - that was done several months ago and it's still bald).

Thanks!

Your place looks great! Congrats on getting it done.

I have to say that if I owned that place and was faced with the prospect of mowing those slopes for the rest of my life, I'd just bite the bullet and get a Ventrac. You are clearly braver and more tenacious than me.

I saw your link earlier (or reference to Ventrec) and looked them up, the closest one is about 210 miles away +/-. Furthermore, I just don't see this being a problem from here on out since it will all be going up "light" now that I have the worst of it down.

It does take some getting used to though.... :)
