I stalled my Kubota B7800 this morning and the normal restart procedure isn't working. I imagine I tripped some safety interlock but I can't figure it out.
I had my tractor idling, neither PTO engage, in low gear. I was on the ground next to it and wanted to back it up 12", so I reached over with one hand and depressed the "rear" speed control foot pedal.
The tractor moved backwards 1", then - because the engine RPMs were low, and the front wheels were in a rut, it stalled out.
OK, no big deal, it happens.
Hop on tractor.
* Turn key to off
* verify both PTOs are off
* gear selector to neutral
* 3PH lift/lower selector to neutral
* RPMs to middle
* butt in seat, so weight switch is engaged
* clutch fully depressed
* turn key to preheat, hold, then to start
nothing.
All the proper lights are on, but the starter doesn't crank at all. (which is why I think it's a safety feature).
I pulled out the manual and walked through the proper starting procedure, step by step, and I sure think I'm doing everything correctly.
My only hunch is that by stalling it out in a rut, I've maybe done something different than my usual dumb stuff.
Any insights or help? I'd love to unblock my driveway!
Thanks,
TJIC
