Here is one for all of you seasoned Kubota guys: got my new Kubota L3400 w FEL and 60" box blade delivered yesterday. Ran it for about 2 hours. This morning I had a greenish fluid on the garage floor underneath. Pretty close to the front end of the tractor. Looks like an antifreeze but I'm not sure. The 2 hours I ran the tractor was mainly some FEL work with dirt.

Can anyone give me some ideas?

Probably is antifreeze. New tractor worked hard for the first time may have "burped" a bit. I don't think that there is an overflow tank, so it makes it to the floor. Could be wrong....

RANCH120,

WHEN I GOTMY NEW B3030, I HAD ABOUT 25 HRS. ON IT AND I HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO ME! I LOOKED AND LOOKED AND THEN ONE DAY I WAS CHECKING THE OIL AND THERE IT WAS, THE CLAMP ON THE RADIATOR HOSE OF THE THERMOSTAT ON TOP OF THE ENGINE WAS THE CULPRIT. I JUST TIGHTENED IT AND WATCHED IT FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AND NO MORE SIGN OF ANY LEAKS. JUST A THOUGHT!! LET US KNOW.

When my L3400 was new it did the same thing you described. It was coming from the overflow tube on the radiator, I kept and eye on the antifreeze level and just kept using it and it finally went away. I think when the dealer prepped it they just overfilled the radiator a little bit. It's been about two years now and it has never leaked another drop and the level has not gone down in the radiator. My L3400 had a few drops fall on the trailer when I picked it up at the dealer. I also found some on the frame. Turns out it was from the install of the block heater. I've noticed no other drips.

I had a block heater installed on my L3400 before it was delivered. It was dripping anit-freeze every day from under the engine on one side. I could not find a leak. I noticed that between the frame and side of the engine there was an area to trap fluid. I don't have a loader so I pulled the plastic thread plug from the frame and a bunch of anti-freeze poured out. No more drips. It would have eventually quit. Maybe that area got filled when they serviced it. Just another possiblility.
