I didnt buy that tractor. Instead I bought a 2001 tc40da with 350 hrs, 16la, filled r4s, and a 72 inch rotary cutter for $17,500. If I paid too much, dont tell me cause I love this machine.

Oldforestor, the 2001 model is actually a TC40D. The TC40DA was introduced for the 2004 model year and has the redesigned lights and hood. Every time I read your post, I do a double take because I see you saying you bought a used TC40DA. Then, I realize it's a 2001 like my TC45D and that wold make yours a TC40D (The actual model when it was sold was TC40D4, which is a "loader ready" tractor). That's a great tractor, but I thought you'd want to know it's not actually a "DA" model. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Thanks folks. Roger on the DA designation. I actually dont know if it is a 2001 or a 2002, but it doesnt matter to me-just glad I dont have those alien headlamps. Thanks again for all the help, Ive got it all dialed in for the time being. I have a great pic of my 70's chrome barefoot gas pedal I added to my forward hydro pedal, but the pic is too big to post. got my techie working on it though. I cant get over this tractor's condition. Somebody really babied it-at least cosmetically.
