Help on a 1947 JD B

Thanks for your guidance. I really do appreciate it as I have no idea what I am doing but I am going back to what seems to be the right thing to do given what I know about engines, not to be zen, or maybe to be zen ;-)

What I am finding right now is that the tractor is showing me the way.
