Help purchasing a leaf vacuum

My mom is looking for a leaf vacuum to use behind her John Deere GT275. She really wants one that hooks to the back of the mower and dumps. She can't/won't handle bags of leaves.

We have found several tow behind models (DR,John Deere,etc...). Her yard has several steep areas that might cause a tow behind to turn over (top heavy).

What do yall suggest? Are we stuck with a tow behind? If so, what brand is best?

If what you mean by a Deere tow-behind is the MC519 cart, it is not a conventional, single-point hitch. It can't really turn over unless the tractor goes with it. I believe the "Cyclone Rake" has the same type of hitch.

I have an MC519 / PowerFlow setup and it does a nice job on leaves - dumps very easily too.

Yeah I saw that they connect with bolts. This is for use by my mom, so I don't know what she is going to do.

I just ran across another model called Swisher. Northern Tool advertising one on sale. Seems to be similar to Trac Vac and DR in design anyways. My issue is the left hand discharge and even though I have read where the latter brands can be adapted, it seems the Swisher only needs a LH boot.

Hi..I'm not sure about others BUT I bought a Trac-vac 5HpModel 560 I think about 18 years ago and it's absolutly the BEST investment I have made in years!.I've only replaced one hose,and usually fill it about 10 times doing my leaves here.(I've got tons of leaves )Worth every penny!
