I really need help.
I am in the middle of my 50 hour maintenance and can't find the right number for the hydraulic filter. I got the right engine oil filter from the TYM forum but the hydraulic number does not look right.

I bought the filter I found then took the tractor filter off to compare. The thread looks the same but the rest is different. The seal is wider and higher on the tractor filter.

Does anyone have the right numbers? I need the numbers for the Mitsubishi S3L engine.

My wife is not going to be happy to find the tractor parked in the garage with parts missing, especially since it is in her spot.

So I have tracked down the filter numbers sold by the dealer and they match what I bought. The NAPA dealer could only guess that the filter was changed since I bought the tractor.

So I need to either wait to hear from someone here or just try to use it. I really don't like the idea of putting it on and pouring in the fluid only to have it leak the first time I start it up. Such a big difference in gasket size is making me nervous.

If there is anyone that has changed these, please let me know what you found.

Who is your tractor manufactured by? LS, Branson? Montana had tractors made by several manufacturers, if we new which one we might be able to help you.

Everything says TYM on it which is why I went the the TYM forum for help. I got numbers from there and compared them to the Montana ones that I already had from my manual. They all matched up so I bought those filters.

The hydraulic filter is different though. My dealer is not easy for me to just go to. NAPA is much easier.

I had the same problem with my Farmtrac 360 DTC, filter# from dealer and from this forum all jived up except the hydraulic filter it wasn't quite right, I thought I was going to go crazy, finally carried old filter to parts house and guy helped me measure it with a micrometer and determined the threads on it were metric, got the right filter and found out later from someone on this forum that Farmtrac went with the bigger filter for more flow it was actually the one used on the hydrostatic models but it wasn't listed in a parts book anywhere, if your model has a hydrostatic twin you may want to check out that filter. Good luck.
