RickB, or others who have worked on Turbo TN;s where are you when I need you. Just picked up my TN75D, loaded it on a ramp truck and notice a slow but steady fuel drip down the injector pump (right side as viewed bt driver. After digging a while I believe it is coming from the top of the engine, injector, injector return lines, etc. There was also a rodent nest ine the valley of the injectors aand once again a cable (water temp sensor lne>) was chewed off,

It is a bear to get to the injectors. I can only see 2. Haven't even see the one that appears to be tucked almost into the cab.

The turbo "snout" runs diagnally across the location and for good measure all the A/C (I believe) hoses cross this area.

So just how much of the TN do I have to disasemble to get into this area to work? I cannot get my hands in now.

Any ideas what might be leaking?. It appears to be coming from the area of the middle injector. The tractor appears to run fine, leading me to beliee that the problem is on the return side> But I could be so wrong.

Amu body with ideas please as I need to be loading a pair of 30 yard dumpsters later today.

Thanks

Andy

Be sure to prop the loader up with a length of stout angle or channel steel laid along the lift cylinder rod between the gland and rod end pin boss. Removing the hood can be a good option if you have a little assistance; doing it alone can be a challenge. Headlight connector at the right below the hinge point; two 8mm bolts (allen head??) hold the hinge bar to the firewall frame, and the hood strut must be disconnected. The fuel return line and supply to the thermostart are in the area of the leak. The varmints may have lunched on some of that tasty vinyl tubing.

RickB and the others will always come to your rescue!! I got fuel leaking from somewhere too but I haven't noticed it dripping, just everything in the area is coated with fuel which all the dust is sticking to. Looks like it is right about the fuel filter. Got to get it into the shop for that and a hydraulic leak....

I can't tell you what's leaking, but if it's running fine then I agree, it's probably on the return side.

I ran a couple of hours but by then the drip turned into a almost steady leak. It's very hot here and I've been busy working on the new house. Hopefull soon I will get to what does no.t look like a very pleasant job at all.

Fixed. Yeah. Rodent (lots of hichory nuts, might be Rocky) at part way through return line between injectors 1 and 2. Cut a 1/2 inch piece out (nice that the little guy age in the center of the span), slipped over a piece of 1/4 inch fuel line a couple of clamps and good to go.

Put wiring back together also, 2 wires totally cut through. Not sure what they do, nothing mores seems to work but anyway they are now fixed.

Temp guage is astill not workking.

Thanks everyone

Andy

Glad you're up & running for cheap. The temp sender signalling the gauge is on top of the head just rearward from the repair area. A real peach to get at.

Still haven't had a chance to try and fix temp sensor. Wondering what the two wires we did splice did?

Rocky muct have ate temo sensor line for dessert:)

You're right, nothing on top of that engine, particularly turbo version is easy to get to. I just think of that page in advertizing brochure showing how easy TN is to service every time I bust a knuckle....

RickB.... Forgot to thank you for your help. We just moved into new (old) house and have been living in basement out of plastic bags for clothes storage untiil we redo floors, walls and celings in EVERY room...Arg.

The beautiful wife says if is a minor redoo since since we did not remove walls. (We have now removed all or pieces of 3 walls) BTW, I hate HGTV since the never show any prep work and how long it takes.

In your case I would look for something as simple as a loose fuel filter. Or a twisted gasket for the fuel filter from overtighting. I bet replacing the fuel filter would have a marked effect.
