Just got a used Buhler Y550r finish mower and can't get the blades off for sharpening. Are the bolts right hand or left hand thread? May put a little heat on them and let them soak. Ideas? Thanks

If you have access, use a power impact wrench. By the way the Buhler mower is one premium mower.

Um, wish I could help, mine is coming next weekend.
Nice choice in mowers...

They should be right hand thread. Use impact wrench, a new mower will have thread lock sealant on them. The manual says it is good for about 5 blade removals and then reapply. The large washer under the blade bolt may have a curved surface on the side nearest the bolt head. If it does just make sure the flat side goes against the bladewhen you reinstall the blades.
