Not sure about the prices for that particular tractor. As far as the 2002 models, My dealer said that New Holland year models work on the calendar. The 2002s would not be available until 2002. I assume he know what he is talking about.

Good luck with your searching. The people that read and use TBN can and will provide you with a wealth of information. I just recently bought after looking for 18 months, and reading this board all the time. It was extremely valuable.

I'd say $18,200 to $18,700 on the TC45D depending on your location. The loader price is right very good. I'm not sure about the other items, but I'm sure someone will "chime in" to give you advice on them. Good luck.

I live a little east of you, in Bonham, Texas, but have dealt with a dealer in Paris, with whom I am very pleased. La Rue New Holland in Paris. If you go there or call them, talk with Royce.

Good luch with your search.

Ed, I was born in Denton and graduated from high school there in 1966. You have many good dealers to choose from in this area and if the prices are close, you just need to concentrate on where you want to get service and do more trading. The prices you quoted are good. Can you tell me if there is something specific you expect to get on a 2002 model? On a tractor, I'd just buy the model and not worry about the year. ...just my two cents...

Check the Blue Book values of the '1999 & '2000 year models to see the kind of depreciation you may expect. I would not have thought that buying at this late time of year would be a big factor unless the new year models see a lot of modifications enabling it to have a higher resale value.

Based on the current slow-down in the utility sales market, I assume that any increases in retail price will be not occur for the '2002 models. If you add the 0% 12 month financing and the rebates, this is good time to buy. Of course, the incentives may get better next year since JD is coming out with the 4010 line.

So far your costs are falling in line with the "best" offer I have found. Try to get the dealer to add the little things i.e. manuals, quick disconnects, hydraulic valves, etc to increase value.
