I'm looking for a used skid loader and would like some advice on what I should be looking for. It will be used sparingly around a small farm for moving large feed bags, moving some manure maybe once a month, moving snow in the winter and other odds and ends hobby farm type work. It probably won't see more than 100 hours a year unless we get a VERY snowy winter.
I've got limited experience operating a skid loader but I've operated all types of controls and am not particularly partial to any one. What I know I want for sure is a two speed machine with cab and heater, AC would be nice as well but probably not an absolute necessity. Aside from that I'm open to suggestions. I'd like to keep it in the low $20k range if possible. Any tips on particular machines to look at or to avoid would be appreciated.
I tend to buy and sell things regularly and not keep them forever and I'm sure this machine will be no exception. In order to do that it's important to buy a machine that has good demand and find it at a good price so that I don't take a bath come sale time so any tips on pricing/where to buy would be greatly appreciated as well.
