I have a 10/7 that was made in the '59 - '69 timeframe. All of the manuals talk about the bigger drills but the concepts seem the same. My problem is in the fertilizer bin. If you're behind the drill and facing the bins there is a lever that is supposed to adjust the amount of fertilizer that the wheels can push into the holes/downspout. On mine, the lever is attached to just a plain round ~1/2 bar that runs all the way across the bin in the "right" spot. The troubling part is there is nothing but the round bar to baffle the amount of fertilizer and there is no scarring or welding to suggest there ever was anything on that bar.

The picture in the manual for that part is impossible for me to see what is supposed to be there. Any help to identify would be greatly appreciated. The CIH dealer doesn't seem to have good pictures either.
