Any suggestions for my tractor throwing a 5-14 code. Supposedly it means low hydraulic pressure. Could a clogged hydraulic filter cause this?

If you have not changed filters recently that would be good place to start. If I remember correctly the pressure sensor is in the cooling fan circuit. Does the cooling fan run and change speeds as temperatures increase?

Changed the filter, no change in code. Tightened the idler arm, no change in code. We are testing the pressures tomorrow, I will look at the cooling fan circuit. Seems to the mechanic that its looking like the hydraulic charge pump or an electrical problem.

Thanks, will keep you updated

Could be just a weak sensor. The charge pump (system) sends oil through the cooling fan first, that is why I asked about the fan speed.

I will have to look at that, I wish we looked at that already. We are basically shooting in the dark trying to diagnose the problem. The 435 is still sitting in the woods, we sent the charge pump to be rebuilt and have not gotten it back from the dealer yet.
