Trying to find out if I have the correct fiber washer.

I had my injectors rebuilt and I ordered new fiber washers from Hoye. Got them today but they are much smaller in diameter than the injector. Going to try and post pics.

Can someone tell me if this is correct before I try to install? Was hoping to get it running tomorrow.

Tractor is a 2500

Thanks

Here's a photo of my YM240 (YM2000) used injector and used washers, and the bag the replacement washers ('insulators') came in, showing Yanmar's part #. I don't know if the same insulators are used in YM2500.

My 'insulators' came out adhering to the injectors. As I recall they fit into machined recesses down in the head that were only slightly larger diameter. I recall thinking if they had been stuck down there they would be a nightmare to get cleaned out.

Are your new insulators the same diameter as what you took out? Are there recesses down in the head that would center those?

Here's the thread where I posted that photo but I don't see any useful advice there that could help you.

I don’t recall there being any washers in it. The guy who rebuilt the injectors told me I need to install new ones so I ordered them from Hoye. But they look too small. I looked in the head to see if they were still in there but it feels and looks like metal in the bottom. The middle one appears to have a copper looking ring raised in the middle but the other two feel smooth in the bottom as best I can tell. I probed them with a small screwdriver to see if anything was left in there.

It is correct. They do not go completely to the outside of the injector base. The upper combustion chambers should all be slightly domed up in the middle like shown below which keeps it centered. The washer sets in that little recess.

Thanks Aaron. I see the problem. Thanks for the pic. The old washers are still in there.
