Help with fuel consumption of 6 HP engine.

I'm looking at 6 HP engines to power the hydraulic pump on my home made excavator.

Looking to replace the 18HP as I think the 18 HP is overkill for powering my 2 GPM hydraulic pump and the 18HP engine burns through gasoline way too fast.

I need help with figuring out the fuel consumption

I see it says.

(Fuel consumption: 395g/kw.h)

So how much fuel would this engine burn in an hour?

Hi! Honda engine burns 330 gr Hp Hour. 6 Hp about 2 liters hour or half us gal. Good luck Oldmech

A lot of people like these chinese engines. Often they pitch them and buy new if anything is ever wrong.

A little planning ahead would have saved time and money. A 2gpm pump at 2500psi would require approx 3.5HP .

The gas guzzler Opposed Twin Briggs and Stratton that's on there right now was one I had just lying around. It's a great running engine but it's just too much power for my little excavator and it's pump.

Once I order the new engine I'm gonna use the Briggs on an old sears riding mower I'm gonna restore eventually.
