Kubota BX25d
Hello, Im new to tracktors and i just purchased a new 2013 Kubota BX25D Tracktor loader backhoe with 60" mid mount mower.

My question is this, when my mower is not attached to the tracktor, i can raise the hydrolics up fully and adjust the cutting dial freely or what feels normally.

When i take off my loader and back hoe, and attach the mid mount mower as well as raise the hydrolics up fully and try to adjust my cutting height dial, it is very hard and it will never go into the "top" position.

Can anyone advise on possible causes or settings that i can look at?

Thanks in advance!

Raise the MMM fully then try to set the dial where you want it. Sometimes it's a little stubborn. Usually it works pretty good. I forget whether I go clock or counterclock.........whichever works.

Sometimes they are out of adjustment. I don't have a BX25D (nice choice by the way, congrats!). What is probably happening is that it is not pulling the arms up high enough to clear the cam. I recall another thread where they talked about a gold colored nut on a shaft on the left under the seat when looking from the rear end. You probably need to tighten this nut up so that it pulls the arms a tad higher.

And :welcome: to TBN. Somebody will likely be along here shortly and give you the real story. I've found the guys here to be VERY smart, extremely helpful, and a heckuva lotta fun.

As I read this again, that might not be the problem. The lift arm links might be too short and the mower hits the frame before arms rotate far enough to allow the TOP to be achieved.

This sounds more like the problem, where would the adjustment be for this?

I would assume links hanging down to the mower have adjustment screws on them. Drop the mower down and take a look. Should be very easy to get at. That's how my old BX is set up.

I guess I never tried to raise the arms all the way up and lock it into top without the mower deck on. I did have to make the adjustment described earlier on the nut behind the left rear wheel. Mine isn't a "d" so I can't say for sure they are the same but the adjustment was easy and covered in the manual on the BX25. There is also a thread here on adjusting it that included pictures. That is where I would start anyway.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy your tractor safely!

Hello. I think your tractor is the same as my BX2660. The adjustment to get the deck adjuster to the top position is a combination of two adjustments. One is the lifting rod and the other is the adjustment bolts where it attaches to the deck. You can loosen the bolts at the deck and drop it down to keep it from hitting the stops. Get the lift to the top position to where you can get the adjustment knob in the last position. Then bring the deck up to the stops with the adjustment bolts. It took me a while to find the problem. It's easy to fix when you get it figured out. Hope this helps.
