Hello to all and looking for some information.

I have a new root grapple and plumbed it to the remotes on my Kioti DK45se. My remote valve has been used with my backhoe until now. When the lever is pulled up to the (A) position the grapple opens with pressure but when I push down to the (B) position its like its in neutral and relieves pressure. In other words I don' have hydraulic closing pressure.

This is a double acting detent type secondary control valve.

My questions are:
Do I have an adjustment issue? It seems when pushing to the (B) position I don't get much travel in the lever
Dirty valve? I had to remove it, clean it and grease it one time when the detent wouldn't hold.
Any thing else?

If you are settting the valve control into the full detent position you will lose any pressure you have in that valve circuit. (you are diverting oil flow past the cylinder)

Do you get full travel in both directions.

If not, then remove the bottom cap on the grapple spool and check for weak or broken springs. Clean and re place any malfunctioning parts.

Thanks to Leonz and J_J between the 2 of you it all clicked in this thick skull.

First was the detent comment. It's never been to the (B) position detent. I set it in the (A) position with the BH on.

Second was the travel comment. It didn't have the travel when throwing it into the (B) position.

Results: out of adjustment from day one. I adjusted approx. 1&1/4 turns for it to drop into the detent setting and now all is good.

Thanks for tickling the Brain
