help with removing the front wheel of a riding mower

Sorry to have to ask such a dumb question but Im trying to help a friend. She has a Kubota T1850 (?) riding mower and we need to remove the front wheel to have the inner tube repaired. The cotter key and washer plus the retaining clip are the easy part, how do I get the wheel off of the axel?

I haven't worked on that specific model, but usually once the cotter pin and washer is removed, the wheel should pull off. But be advise that the inner bearing could be stuck to the spindle, and you will need to pull hard to get it off............and it usually requires replacement of the inner seal.

I've had times where the inner seal, and the bearing remained on the spindle(same with cars also), then just mess with it til the bearing comes off the spindle.

Just be careful(while using a chisel or whatever), not not make dings in the spindle!

Look at your bearing carefully, you will see where the 'race' of the bearing is on the spindle.......tap that from the inside to get the bearing off the spindle.

Be sure to get a new seal.
