I had three of these fall in the back of my truck from work. They used to be hooked up to a field tarp lift and we did away with the lift so I snagged them thinking I will use one of them for a splitter. Can anyone tell me what size they are. Thanks

Did you write those sizes on the cylinders?
Are they indeed 2" ram with 4-1/2 OD and 24" long?
If so, then (I'm guessing) the wall thickness leaves a 4" cylinder with about 18 to 20" stroke.
Assuming 2,000psi for the hydraulic system pressure, that would give you a 12-1/2 ton cylinder.
If your hydraulic system pressure (psi) is more, you'd have more tons and visa versa if less, less tons.
Formula is [(pi)(r squared) x psi]/2000=tons of pressure.
Speed of the cylinders depends on the gpm (flow) of your hydraulic system.
I think that's right...

The correct answer is written on the cylinder, except for the pin size. Maybe 1 1/2 in

If it's the tonnage your seeking, then these calculators will determine it for you if yo have accurate measurements.

Thanks guys. I guess I should have ask what the lbs or tons were. I got these things free and figure some time down the road I could use them for something. Im just now trying to learn about hydraulics so bear with me. I did put the numbers on them and they have no stamp or markings. They did loose some fluid so does that hurt??

If you mean they lost fluid out of the port holes while they are off ... no. No problem.
Just seal off the ports with a plug to keep debris and other crap from getting in there.

Yes. And thanks. I did cap them off last night.
