help with steering

my dad pulled the steering valve out and had every hose marked, during the rebuild of the steering valve he mixed up the hoses and does not know how or which line goes where, I will be there on saturday and hope to figure this out but if someone has a method to tell me which hose running where should go on the "orbital" valve it would be a huge help. I don't know the year of the back hoe but I know it is a MF 50 H. Thanks for all the help.

Most of the valves I have the ports marked. On machine of that vintage I am not sure though.

Common labels are:
"P" pressure
"T" Tank
"R" right
"L" left

If there is a 5th line to this unit it could be for "power beyond" but I am not 100% sure of that on your model. The power beyond is a common feature on the SCUT & CUT tractors.

For future reference this is where cameras come in handy. Take pictures of stuff before you take it apart and after you've marked everything as best you can. It will refresh your mind when you get around to getting it all put back together.
