I am trying to figure out how to adjust the shift linkage on my 2005 Polaris ranger 4x4. I have adjusted all that can be adjusted out of the linkage adjustment by the transmission and am still getting a grinding occassionally when trying to shift into high range. Can anyone help?

I believe the idle is set fine. It has something to do with the linkage. I have it diagnosed that far. Even with engine off and shift to high youo have the same results

is the grinding coming when your shifting from low to high. if so try going from low to nuetral then to high the hpx is the same way and my buddys ranger was grinding until he did tis and his stopped.so never go directly from low to high gear . and if that isn't the case it has to be your idol is set to high. they have been known to walk up a bit after use colder weather will sometimes make them idol really high too. but my bet is on the going from high to low gear.

now being you done went and messed with the stock settings on the linkage you might wanna put them back before you try the low to high gear thing but from what your sayin i bet thats it.
