Tractor won't start at all you turn the key a click and that is it. Cables are clean and battery full charge. All the grounds are good I checked the fuse they are good, I though to take a stew driver to the starter to see if it turns over

Sounds like it could be a bad solenoid to the starter. If you can find it, short out the two large connections (one from the battery and one to the starter). If that makes the starter turn over, then replace the solenoid.

Mine did same thing when I got it. Pull center consol and clean electrical connection from ignition switch. If that is not it go for switch. Search and find thread about taking switch apart and cleaning or replace it.

Check for juice at solenoid. First the battery side, Then the starter side with the key turned. If you got it, check for juice at the starter with the key turned. If you got it at the starter, bad starter. Some solenoids will still click and be bad.

Does the glow plug sequence work?

If it just clicks, typically it's a bad starter solenoid. Sometimes a few taps with a hammer can get it to go. Don't rely on this though. It's sometimes just a way to get something out of the field.

The one click is usually the solenoid moving on the inside getting power from one terminal to the other., then to the starter. I have had them click and not work, and do nothing and be shot.

Agreed sometimes a tap on the starter or solenoid will help it along.

I talked to a dealer said to try the screw driver to the starter and it started up so then I took out the ignition switch and the white casing is broken a little and water in took it a part clean the copper and put it back together and it started right up with the key told the dealer about the ignition having a break in it he is calling kioti and will try to get a new one under warranty.

Good job!

Good to read your up and running before 12"plus arrives.

When I was last talking to my local dealer he mentioned that there is a batch of defective ignition switches in the DK series, sounds like you got one.

Not sure "defective" is the best term, but I understand that a newer, redesigned switch is now available (at twice the cost of the old one). My switch required a clean-and-lube to correct a glow problem.

Knew it was switch related. Posts on this forum confirm it. Glad you are running and under warranty. You must have at least a foot of new snow to deal with.

The dealer will Cale when he gets ahold of kioti to get the new switch. Woke up to that beautiful white snow on the grown that I get to play in with the tractor.
