Not sure what we are going to use it for just yet but we have a 30'+ travel trailer we are striping and turning into a flatbed.

Glad to know we will not be the only ones with a BP trailer that long

I should clarify - never seen an equipment trailer/flatbed that long as a BP. Yeah campers/travel trailers often get quite long. Never seen flatbeds over 24', myself...

Back in the early 90's, I built a 33' trailer to haul two MarkIII Conversion Vans on, behind a Dodge 3500 Cummins that the owner sent out and had stretched with an Angle Deck (wedge) on it. The owner put over 450,000 miles on that first truck, and I saw it up in the new england states on day. Hollered at the driver, who told me the new truck has 100,000 miles on it, and the trailer had gone every inch of the way with it. So the owner got 550,000 plus out of a trailer I built. Kind of made me feel good about it, also realized I work way too cheap!!
It did take a football field to turn that rig around, no kidding!

We had a factory built 35' tri-axle BP with 6K axles for 18,000# GVWR. It weighed 4,500# empty and could haul 2 cars no problems. Pulled real nice. I bet I have 10,000 miles with it behind a F-350 and a F-250.

Only issues was gas stations and such. Because of the axle placement you really had to watch the turns to make sure the arse end did not knock something down. Much like pulling a travel trailer.

The one I built was twin axles, though I would have stuck three under it, to lessen the load on the tires, but the buyer only wanted two... so two it was. He replaced the H rated tires as they went out, with F and ended up having a bunch of trouble with tires. He brought it by for me to see if I could figure out "why" he was having so many blowouts and I took one look at the tires on it and made a call. He went back to a tire rated to hold the weight and quit having problems. (or at least I never heard from him again)
I have an "Ugly dump trailer" that I built from a 45 foot boat trailer. Cut it down to about 27 ft, with a 20 ft flatbed, the rear 12 foot dumps. Had I left it the original length, it would have put the 33 ft to shame. At the time, I didn't have a gooseneck capable truck and needed a dump trailer to haul behind my JDeere, or if needed, to haul my JDeere. So, fired up the torch, dragged out the leads, and went to work.
Oh, by the way, my 33 ft trailer was a deckover, so the fenders didn't get in the way of the load or opening the doors on the vans as they were loaded and the drivers needed to get out (without banging up the doors on those fenders.
