Hesston 1160 swather leaking hyd fluid

I have a 1160 swather that is leaking around the middle of the neck. It looks like a previous owner welded and caulked around the seam. I bought it last fall and used it on 80 acres and it did an ok job, except for leaking oil. I would like to get the problem fixed. Any ideas will be helpful.

I had an oil leak behind the engine on my Farmall M, It was leaking from the implement pump, went to O' Reilly's and ask them. He said to try pouring in a quart of auto transmission fluid. He said it has stop leak in each container, and ingredients that makes the seals swell. So I did and in about 2 weeks it worked no more leak. Gary

I bought some high quality silicone caulk and caulked it real good. I let it cure for a day or two, before I put oil back in it. It has never leaked from that spot again.
