Hey look what I found!!!

I heard some loud noise outside and thought it was something going through my garbage. The noise was real loud and I thought it could be the black bear my neighbors have seen. NATURALLY I have no working flashlight /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif so I go out and don't see anything. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Then I hear a commotion in the barn so I go to investigate and sure enough there is a new edition to the family....a perfect little foal just minutes old!

Must have been born just before midnight.

The mother is an 8 year old 11 hand Shetland pony, the father is ???? We bought the pony for our daughter and it turned out she was pregnant.

Now my daughter has 3 ponies!!! All we wanted was a small pony to tide my 6 year old over until she grows into our large 14 hand ( pretty spunky) paint pony. Now I've got small, medium and large, not to mention the other horses /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thankfully the tractor will be here in less than 2 weeks.

Well after being up most of the night we got up today and after the vet looked at our new edition "Miss Lily" we let her out in the pen. They are doing fine and the little one is running around and very friendly.

This is a much better picture now that she's cleaned up.

This is my horse Malandro. This was 2 years ago. He is now seven and being older and staying outside his coat has lightened a bit so he looks just like the horse Clint Eastwood rode in "Pale Rider" /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

That is a great color though, really makes them stand out in a crowd.
