THIS worth looking at and possibly bidding on?

I'm familar with EV speakers, but not their amps.

For home use, (putting together HT setup) I've got a pair of EV"s that are rated at max 500 input (though I have no desire to really go there)

I just figure if these are the esoteric monsters as inferred, it might be worth looking into... after all, does it mean a hill of beans to me, that they use "T03" transistor output array?

Nope, I've not a clue what that means.

Any opinion as to their desirableness and/or value?

The t03 is just the output case design.. gives you an idea of transiter output wattage.. and that it is a solid state discreet component device.. and not a tube output, or some sort of BTL ( ballanced transformer output.. or ballanced transformerless output.. etc. ), or a combination monolithic output device.. etc.

Tip 220 would be a smaller case.. etc, etc. if you were interested.. hit a radio shact and pic up a device schematics and symbols book as it will have common semiconductor package references in it. ( I'm sure you wanted to hear all that ).

It's not a bad amp mind you.. but it is older.. and at the 302$ it went for.. you can buy alot more power. Crown has some 1k, 2k, and 3k amps out.. cheap... CE series. Think of them as low end pro pa.. etc.

I use an old BG 250 to power my home 'system'.. which consists of a couple yamaha traps on sticks, and a small peavy mixer ... Not prestigeous.. but it will peel paint off the wall.
