My wife and I (both retired in 2013) have owned a small 10ac low bush Blue Berry farm for the last 15 yrs. We had hired out all the work previously. We noted that our field were getting over run by numerous weeds even though we were paying dearly for weed/pest control and the hired harvesting cost were out of the roof, also the large heavy tractors were starting to rut up our fields considerable. We had two choices, walk away or get evolved and do the work our self so we decided to do the work our self's. We considered purchasing a four wheel tractor but their to expensive (harvester attachment alone cost over $50K), and I would have to float it 74km's (one way) and I would have to be concerned about more rutting. So we purchased a walk behind harvester, a side x side atv to remove the harvested berries off the fields and a walk behind BCS tractor with a sickle bar mower up to now.

Lord Thundering............better get them weeds under control.Walk behind sounds like good exercise. Outstanding wild blueberry crop this year around Nakina.
Your neighbour and countryman on the east coast of Lake Huron.
