Welcome to TBN, Ben. As stated, getting history of maintenance is a great idea.
I worked in a parts depot for Ford Tractor from 72-83 when the division was downsized and later sold to New Holland. We sold a lot of those little tractors. The local community college bought one, employing students to mow the grounds..if they can hold up to usage by young exuberant students they are pretty tough.
