We live on 18 acres of moderately hilly woodland in Clarence Creek, Ontario, just outside Canada's capital. I have a Kubota L2800 AWD with bush hog, backhoe, snow blower, and one severely over-used cup holder. I use it for firewood, snow clearing, trail cutting, pond digging, Christmas tree finding, and swimming pool installing (only once, but it actually worked!)
I am the prototypical city slicker bumbling his way through country life, so I expect to have a lot of those stupid questions there are supposed to be none of. I also expect I might be able to save other newbies from a mistake or two I've already made.
I also like to ponder the mysteries of tractor life, like why can my tractor nimbly climb up a steep hill littered with fallen trees yet get thoroughly stuck if I slide one inch too close to a snowy ditch?! (The answer is, I'm an idiot who bought driveway markers and never puts them up.)
Anyway, I look forward to being a member of the community.
And if you're ever in Clarence Creek... I'm not home.
